The OSS Orchestration Technology Consultant provides technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers’ business needs and, consequently, for understanding customers’ businesses. As trusted advisor create and maintain effective customer relationships so as to insure customer satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of leading edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge. Actively contribute to the company’s solutions portfolio by providing information ranging from technical knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects. Shape technical direction and technical strategies within the organization and for external customers. Accountable for consistent and significant chargeability levels (or expense relief for internal project teams) and for assisting in meeting or exceeding revenue and customer satisfaction goals. Contribute to organization’s profitability by generating and cultivating new business opportunities and by providing technical support for deal proposal development.

Experience in the provisioning space:

• Understand Virtual functions in the Telecom space
• Understand CSP networking technologies provisioning processes
• Design service Models to implement solution for Service Orchestration
• Ability to steer design concepts to new paradigms ( intent based )
• Coordinate technical team in order to deliver projects on time / on budget in collaboration with project managers, local delivery and offshore resources

System integration / development know how (to collaborate/ coordinate developers and technical consultants)

• Develop interfaces between the activation system and the elements (mostly Java)
• Develop/design services and networks utilizing understanding of service modelling
• Software development using service descriptors, components, references, graphs, template manager, SD YAML file configuration
• Develop custom Java Nodes that can be utilized in WFs
• SQL Queries
• Support the integration and live deployment of network functions
• GUI development and troubleshooting
• Unit testing utilizing Continuous Integration methodology
• Downloading Webservices interfaces and testing using SoapUI
• Web Services implementation
• REST API implementation
• Java Programming

Required Skills

• 4-8+ years of experience in the provisioning space with Orchestration and Automation
• Linux and Java software development experience
• Software development experience with service provider provisioning/activation applications
• 1-2 Years of CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) experience
• Previous software development experience with Webservices, REST API, SQL
• Knowledge of telecom industry, relevant technical architecture and standards, i.e. eTOM/TAM, ETSI.

Desired Skills

• Previous development experience with HPE Service Director/Service Activator
• Previous development experience with other service Provisioning/Activation applications from companies including Ericsson, Conceptwave, Amdocs, Netcracker or Oracle
• Previous development experience related to Virtualized network Functions
• Knowledge of TM Forum, processes and components in Service Provisioning, Service Assurance, Order provisioning and Operations management.
• Understanding of cloud concepts, NFVI, Microservices, K8s/Docker.
