About the role

We are looking for a driven, junior-level Accountant to join our Accounting team. This Accountant will be a member of a small, agile, focused Accounting team. They will collaborate on a day-to-day basis with the other Accountant, Senior Accountants, Accounting Managers, and, as projects may require, directly with the Controller.

This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Work in the Accounts Payable function, including review of contract, coding, matching, payment, response to vendor inquiries, resolution of payment issues, discrepancies and 1099 preparation.
  • Perform timely bank reconciliations to ensure cash receipts, disbursements, and bank fees have been properly reflected in the general ledger.
  • Review and process employee reimbursement and expense reports using the company’s reimbursement tool.
  • Own and Manage Client Invoicing Process - confirm, prepare, and distribute invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Month-end close activities: Perform monthly accounting close activities as assigned, such as bank reconciliations, fixed assets, other balance sheet reconciliations, and preparation of journal entries.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements; suggest and implement improvements to scale and automate manual procedures and computations.
  • Participate in Annual Financial Audits and reviews with auditors, including preparation & review of some schedules as assigned.

To thrive in this role, you have

  • A Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance) with 1-2 years of accounting or finance experience. Big 4 experience is a plus.
  • Experience in a related area and knowledge of accounting concepts.
  • The ability to demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced high-growth work environment and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to achieve results.
  • Moderate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint (e.g. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Strong organization skills.
  • A Team player mentality, with a positive attitude, who is proactive and accountable.
