The ideal candidate will be passionate and knowledgeable about the intersection of business and sustainability, a highly organised individual, a systems thinker and a proactive contributor who is able to build highly collaborative partnerships with stakeholders inside and outside of ServiceNow.

The environmental program manager will be reporting ServiceNow’s Sr Manager Environmental Sustainability and directly supporting the Director, Real Estate, Workplace & Environmental Sustainability. This role will be responsible for supporting collaborative cross-organisation global teams, to help develop and evolve ServiceNow’s environmental processes and procedures to ensure compliance, while also enabling ServiceNow’s growth.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Strong interpersonal skills: excellent communication skills, strong relationship builder.
  • Support delivering on ServiceNow’s environmental multi-year strategy to ensure progress and ultimate achievement to ServiceNow's environmental goals.
  • Partner with various internal stakeholders and maintain active relationships with business stakeholders, site operations teams, as well ability to collaborate with other support organisations such as procurement/travel, datacenter operations, legal, and global policy organisations.
  • Work with external vendor to manage GHG inventory / carbon accounting across global sources including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions
  • Manage energy inventory across global portfolio of offices and data centers
  • Manage implementation of science-based targets, including the development of monitoring and reporting capabilities and standards
  • Develop and manage supply chain engagement program related to science-based targets, including collaboration with procurement and external partners
  • Manage annual CDP/EcoVadis and other disclosures and reporting processes
  • Assist with sustainability projects across multiple teams, including facilities, operations, and marketing
  • Assist with global and regional sustainability programs that contribute to our Environmental Sustainability program

Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience in corporate sustainability; 5+ years experience a plus
  • Knowledge of industry reporting standards related to sustainability, such as CDP, GRI, RE100, and the GHG Protocol
  • Experience with GHG inventory and/or carbon accounting strongly preferred
  • Experience with CDP disclosure strongly preferred
  • Experience with science-based targets development and/or SBT-related supply chain engagement strongly preferred
  • Strong communications skills, both written and oral
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy is necessary in order to analyse and finalise GHG reporting, SBT monitoring, and external communications including CDP disclosures
  • Organised, responsive, and able to gain support and consensus with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.

The candidate must also have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in:

  • Establishing effective cross-functional relationships with internal & external stakeholders
  • Global environmental regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of environmental trends, policies, and programs
  • Experience in external forums, and other industry leaders.
