Senior Partner Program Manager, Aruba Partner Programs (Remote / Home-Based)
We have an opening for a Senior Program Manager in the HPE Aruba Channel team, reporting directly into the Director, Worldwide Partner Programs. In this role you will develop, deploy and manage as-a-service partner programs and initiatives that support the Aruba Partner Ecosystem. You will work cross-functionally with worldwide and regional teams around the world to develop business plans and drive the execution of each program in alignment with the defined objectives and business outcomes.
The key measures of success for this position is whether the defined program and processes are fully developed, operationalized and deployed in accordance with the plan, and whether partners and key stakeholders are satisfied with the scope, structure and value proposition of the program. Strong leadership and effective change management skills will be essential to deploy and transition into new and continually evolving partner program models, and meet the prescribed business outcomes around partner satisfaction and revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
This position will develop, operationalize and deploy new partner programs for Aruba – and monitor, manage and improve existing channel programs to drive optimal execution and results. You will need to collaborate extensively across multiple organizations at a very senior level to drive commitment and alignment to the global program framework, processes and operating plan, ensuring that the stated business outcomes are achieved.
The key activities of the Senior Partner Program Manager are:
• Support the execution of the worldwide channel program strategy across all geo’s. Manage program compliance and drive global alignment of the program objectives and framework.
• Establish operating metrics / performance standards for each program. Track business results and performance metrics against the stated objectives.
• Lead initiatives to evolve partner programs for maximum efficiency, growth, partner satisfaction and specified business results. Maintain program roadmap and drive projects to optimize the program structure, requirements and benefits.
• Develop and support the evolution of the worldwide Aruba as-a-service program supporting emerging network as-a-service business models.
• Develop new global partner strategies, programs and supporting business models to grow Aruba’s “as-a-Service” offerings that align with corporate partner programs.
• Manage program and processes for strategic networking partners, and optimize to enhance the value proposition and results.
• Create and manage competitive attack and partner recruitment programs.
• Research the competitive environment and industry trends to assess new developments that impact channel, and publish insights for use in strategic planning.
• Utilize a structured and pragmatic program management and problem solving approach to execute effectively on the defined program design framework and deployment plans, and respond effectively to issues as they arise. Document, track and communicate program status as necessary.
• Lead the local and regional teams through management of change to transition effectively to future state program models.
• Work with the regions on the plan to recruit and onboard partners into new program offerings as required, and manage partners across the stages of partner lifecycle.
• Develop strategic messaging and communications/collateral as required for each program. Evangelize and promote channel programs to key stakeholders to drive adoption.
• Negotiate and influence stakeholders to build consensus and alignment for the specified business direction.
Required Qualifications:
• Relevant experience developing, deploying and supporting channel partner programs. Minimum of 12 years of experience driving strategic, high impact and complex channel initiatives.
• Highly developed project / program management and change management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of channel management, the networking industry and “As-a-service” business models/partner programs.
• Proven ability to lead cross functional/geographic teams to achieve results in a fast pace and demanding environment.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills. Highly developed negotiation skills to influence stakeholders and build strong consensus required.
• Strong relationship management and leadership skills, including team-building and conflict resolution required.
• Highly developed problem solving skills.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues and develop thoughtful recommendations and action plans.
• Organizational skills and attention-to-detail.
• Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously
• Bachelor degree in business, technology, or relevant field of study - or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA or a Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Certified Project Management Institute PMP desired.
