What is the Opportunity?
This is an excellent opportunity to join our GAM UK Client Ops team. As a member of the team providing support to the Head of Client Operations, this role will be responsible for; the provision of a wide range of client operations-related tasks. This includes; client onboarding, reporting, systems setup, and acting as an operational point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, as well as supporting all elements of a rapidly growing client base.
What will you do?
Supporting the Head of Client Operations in the management of:
Client onboarding – segregated and fund clients: responsibilities will include:
- Lead the day to day responsibilities of client onboarding, including system and account setups, ensuring investment mandate and performance guidelines are in place, and communicating relevant data and reporting requirements.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational issues.
- Review and implement deliverables as listed on the Investment Management Agreement.
- Ownership and development of fund onboarding documentation; liaison with fund custodian and transfer agent; upkeep of fund client register.
- Leading the AML/KYC client onboarding process and periodic refresh framework
- Timely and accurate completion of operational client and custodian reports and reconciliations. Also oversight of institutional client reporting framework and tools (Coric, Eagle)
- Maintaining regulatory reporting obligations including European MiFID Template (EMT), DC Workplace Pension Template (DCPT), and all cost and charges templates pertaining to RBC GAM UK’s institutional client base and UCIT Funds.
- Driving a high-quality client experience and participating in or leading projects to advance the business by leveraging technology including automation
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and interest in investment products and fund structures.
- Strong oral and written communication skills - confidence to effectively interface at all levels of the firm.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive experience in the investment or financial industry
- University degree.
- Visual Basic (VBA), Bloomberg
- Expert level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products (with emphasis on Word and Excel).
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Investment Reporting.
- Knowledge/Interest in Robotic Process Automation
- KYC/AML experience
- Eagle, Coric experience
- Client servicing experience
