POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing packaging trim materials, within the Calvin Klein Apparel, CK Performance and The Underwear Group brands, and seasonal collaborations, from concept through bulk approval. The position is a key link with PVH overseas office Packaging Trim teams, Vendors and Suppliers to ensure all packaging trim meets the quality and aesthetic expectations of the Brands, at the best value, to drive top line profitable sales for our business units.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

• Manage packaging trim development for our Brands, and seasonal collaborations, from concept through bulk approval, including managing the calendar, allocation, sample tracking, and costing.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with strategic suppliers at L1 and L2, and ISM levels that will deliver quality and value, innovation and newness, within our Company vertical integration initiative
• Identify packaging trim needs appropriate for the Brand and work with Design, Merchandising, Marketing and Suppliers to ensure artwork and aesthetic vision for packaging trim are being communicated clearly and effectively
• Provide technical expertise on assessing and mitigating potential risks in packaging product, and transportation of packaged goods
• Develop sustainable raw materials, and packaging processes, in partnership with Corporate Responsibility and Supply teams that improve product and supply chain efficiency, and align with company goals. Provide supporting macro cost reporting and analysis
• Trouble shoot bulk issues relating to packaging and trim
• Manage adherence to all individual account packaging and labeling requirements, within their individual approval processes and timelines
• Supervise maintenance of packaging trim library, and folding and packaging directives and testing standards in Global Quality Manual.

Requires ability to make balanced, commercially acceptable decisions in a timely manner, to ensure products are developed, reviewed, evaluated, and approved within the required time and action calendar

Must be good at finding solutions, process improvement, building interpersonal relationships with people from other functions. Must have ability to prioritize and multi-task. Must be well organized and detail oriented

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: minimum 5-7 years in trim field in apparel industry

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or industry experience that equates

Skills: Knowledge of trim materials, manufacturing process; Communication, organization, problem solving, managing schedules, collaboration, Strategic thought, critical eye for quality
