What you’ll be doing...

You will use analytics to drive understanding and action throughout the VCG Content Acquisition team. Insights will come through BI tools (SQL, excel, Tableau) and result in presentations to stakeholders with clear action plans to strengthen performance. This includes maintaining analytic oversight by identifying and initiating reporting requirements from stakeholders to deliver necessary insights that drive decisions and actions to execute contract terms while interfacing seamlessly with cross-functional partners ranging from Finance, Integrated Marketing, Go-To-Market, and Product teams. This is an integral role that will help the Verizon Consumer Group establish itself as a major industry disruptor and provide Verizon customers with best-in-class Content experiences.

Our team is seeking an experienced self-starter who can work cross-functionally across business groups and drive analytic support for Verizon’s strategic goals in the content distribution space. The candidate will report to the Business Intelligence Manager.

  • Drive growth of the Verizon Digital App and Digital Membership business by examining the performance of each touchpoint across the entire consumer journey and identifying key marketing and product levers to unlock incremental improvements.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across teams and business units, coordinate with product and technology teams.
  • An individual contributor who will regularly seek to measure content and product success through robust and accurate analytic processes and visualizational insights.
  • Ensure all first and third-party data is collected, stored and analyzed properly, while ensuring legal and privacy compliance.
  • Drive metrics and KPI reporting to tell the “value story” for the customer, Verizon and its content partners.
  • Partner with Data Science and Data Engineering to build infrastructure that supports analytical rigor and to develop models and tools that drive business impact.
  • Develop, review, and continuously improve processes.
  • Must be able to document BI process/ business rules and produce insights and analyses into executive level PowerPoint decks.
  • Understand our business drivers, assess/scope projects, and prepare data driven recommendations on business strategies with the appropriate levels of detail.
  • Building dashboards and reporting insights to support an Omni channel marketing and platform strategy.
  • Track and develop recurring and ad hoc BI requests from Content, Marketing, Product and other stakeholders within the project.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Advance knowledge of SQL, Tableau Desktop.
  • Experience working with databases (dimensional and relational).
  • Experience in visualizing large and complex datasets in a commercial/business environment.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Experience working with data engineering/data science/data analyst teams.

Even better if you have:

  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong abilities in data exploration, data manipulation, and data visualization.
  • Deep understanding of digital product/digital marketing & combining disparate datasets.
  • Digital marketing analytics experience across digital advertising, paid social, and push and in-app notifications.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build solid relationships with individuals at all levels, in multiple geographies and business functions.
  • Experience working with Snowflake/AWS DB warehouses.
  • Proven leadership in defining business-critical reporting models, metrics and analyses that drives the business forward.
  • Experience in Strategy, Go-to-Market, IT, Customer Experience or Business Transformation.
  • Good understanding of wireless telecom business practices, including accounting, finance, revenue assurance, billing, customer care, legal, device management, and network operations.
  • Exceptional communicator. Clear, concise, and can steer difficult conversations.
  • Advanced computer application competency (e.g., Google tools like Sheets, Docs and Slides, etc.)
  • Experience in Customer Acquisition Funnel Analytics.
