Job Description

The Role: The Resource Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the daily business operations of defined regions and internal departments to deploy resources on projects. This role will interact with all internal departments of MicroStrategy, the Professional Services management team, Legal, Finance, Risk Management and External partners to drive operational effectiveness. The Operations Analyst is responsible for driving meaningful change in the business by performing thoughtful analyses of our operational processes, generating creative strategic initiatives, and maintaining key corporate systems in support of revenue-generating parts of the business. The Operations Analyst reports to the Director, Services Operations.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

  • Serves as the main point of contact for consultants and management for assigned regions.
  • Coordinate with internal Legal and Risk Management department as needed to aide in Consultant and Subcontractor placement.
  • Oversee time reconciliation process on accounts as required.
  • Liaise with Finance to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Coach and train new Services Directors and Managers on internal Resource Management Operations staffing and project management processes and best practices.
  • Function as the point of contact with all functional and business areas and groups involved in any client project, including field Senior Management.
  • Facilitate Monthly, Quarterly and yearly close procedures as defined by Operations Management.
  • Efficiently staff all internal and external resource requests as defined by set SLAs.
  • Accurately track and allocate resource requests in Professional Services Automation (PSA) tool to appropriate tasks.
  • Coordinate with Global Delivery Center for projects requiring off-site resources.
  • Identify subcontractors when needed and coordinate deployment process with resource, internal departments and outside vendor firm.
  • Track and maintain high utilization and margins through MicroStrategy’s reporting tool and Salesforce.com platform.
  • Partner with Services Directors and Managers to aide consultants on achieving quarterly career goals.
  • Track skills and profiles in PSA.
  • Support the field with any questions and tasks related to the internal processes and systems.
  • Lead part of new hire consultant orientation to introduce and explain role of the Resource Management Office and its role in the Services organization.
  • Ensure resources are staffed immediately on internal or external upon Boot-camp completion.
  • Work closely with consultants on any questions while traveling outside of their home country.
  • Track consultant foreign activity.
  • Maintain and update key systems to support Sales and Consulting departments.
  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, and IS teams to increase accuracy in forecasting and planning.
  • Lead a broad range of business process improvement initiatives with reporting and analysis using a variety of software tools.
  • Support the continued growth of the business with a focus on developing standardized processes and scalable assets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Motivation, Innovation, Passion, Integrity, Teamwork, Customer-Focus.
  • Excellent oral, listening and written communication skills, including presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Financial Force preferred.
  • Robust analytical skill set. Excel proficiency required.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of operational and financial reporting methods with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to communicate effectively across levels and departments.
  • Collaboration, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
  • Self-motivated team player who has fresh ideas when it comes to resource planning and mobility.
  • Ability to work effectively with and in leading cross-group initiatives. Must enjoy working closely with consultants and all levels of leadership from varied functional teams to working with executive levels.
  • Ability to work with leaders to accomplish organizational priorities and guide other leaders through the impact of decision alternatives.
  • Ability to quickly and efficiently sort through data to identify key issues or variables to consider in making critical staffing decisions.

  • Outstanding cross-group and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
