Status: Regular, Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordination of the Latest Best Estimate (LBE) planning process and month-end closing
  • Prepare accurate and timely management financial reports.
  • Provide financial support to commercial teams
  • Support different projects and implementations
  • Act as back up to the Controller
  • Prepare LBE presentation deck. Gather inputs from commercial teams, prepare financial slides and back ups
  • Complete LBE templates for submission to Area and/or Division
  • Prepare monthly P&L and Balance Sheet flash reports
  • Prepare monthly financial slides
  • Prepare and input P&L (Sales, Cost of Sales, OMC and non-SG&A expenses) and B/S forecast data into the financial planning (HFM) system
  • Perform month end financial closing. Review H56 prepared by CFS and ensure consistency with inventory transactions
  • Review and approve Customer claims and deductions
  • Prepare weekly sales flash (update weekly sales tracker, discuss MTD results, assess sales for the month, issue target for the month etc.)
  • Resolve issues affecting A/R and sales reports
  • Participate and/or lead implementation of financial projects
  • Provide finance support to the commercial teams.
  • Assist in implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and controls

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Plan, organize, balance priorities in order to meet crucial due dates.
  • Multi -task, to work concurrently with numerous stakeholders, projects and reports.
  • Analyze complex data and trends, translating them into opportunities for Abbott.
  • Think strategically, independently and challenge status quo.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate both written and verbal communications.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Education and Required Experience:

  • Bachelor of Commerce, in Accounting (required)
  • Accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA)
  • Minimum 5-8 years of similar work experience
