Overview:

The ideal candidate will have an ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs. The candidate should be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally with different business units. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in related fields.

This position will lead operation, supply chain and customer service within APAC and manage tactical day to day operational activities liaising with Global teams, commercial teams, local business support team and the operation function within APAC Countries.

Responsibilities:

To drive demand planning accuracy within APAC, actively manage all operational risks and escalate to appropriate stakeholders whilst identifying corrective actions.

Lead Supply Chain and Customer service function within APAC

Actively manage all operational risks and escalate to appropriate stakeholders whilst identifying corrective actions.

Liaise with Global and Regional demand planning managers to drive accuracy and meet all operational and supply chain KPI’s

Liaise closely with Distributors, Marketing, Sales team, Finance to review sales forecasting, demand-supply planning, inventory control. Objective is to optimize financial and non-financial goals, optimize inventory levels, while contributing to customer satisfaction.

Drive achievement of inventory days-on-hand and inventory write-off targets in accordance with Division targets.

Work with Regional Controller and APAC Demand Planning Manager to drive improvement in demand forecast accuracy across within Southeast Asia.

Manage third party logistics service providers in accordance with service agreements. Lead regular and timely operations review with third party logistics service providers to review monthly KPIs, complaint logs, stock count results, and drive continuous improvement.

Track and follow up on the status of purchase orders, shipment, inventory levels, backorders, inventory aging, short-expiry inventory, etc. Address specific customer requirements, eg. shelf-life, tender, workshop requirements, etc.

Highlight and actively manage operational risks on a timely basis. Proactively initiate discussions with various stakeholders on solutions, risk mitigation and implement future corrective action.

Liaise closely with Regulatory and Quality Assurance personnel to consider and pre-empt any impact of product/import license, regulatory or quality related changes on demand planning and sales forecasting.

Perform regular inventory analysis with the support from Finance. Share findings, identify areas of improvement, define and drive corrective action and follow up.

Support and collaborate with respective functions on product phase-in/ phase-out planning.

Understand systems and tools. Ensure quality, accuracy, and integrity of information stored in the systems.

Provide guidance to non-supply chain stakeholders on supply chain/ customer service-related matters; also provides formal and informal training to contribute to good collaboration across functions to achieve organization objectives.

Ensure compliance with local and Abbott policies and procedures. Provides training and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on compliance requirements.

Work with each country manager and country finance to manage supply chain/ customer service department budget in the respective countries.

Provide ad hoc analysis or participate in projects as required.

Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain at a senior level with evident success.

Experience in leading a team of supply chain and customer service professionals (for managerial level).

Experience gained in a regional role and in multinational companies will be an advantage.

Education

Tertiary qualification to degree/diploma level or professional supply chain related qualification - essential.

Other skills/ knowledge:

Good demand planning, S&OP, logistics, procurement, order processing, customer support, warehouse, inventory, project, operations management skills

Knowledge of APAC country import, export, customs regulations and processes

Knowledge of third party logistics vendor management

Excellent spoken and written of English and local language (where applicable)

Hands-on with systems and tools, eg. SAP, Hyperion, Excel, Powerpoint, Word
