This position is a senior-level, full-stack, enterprise software engineer role within the EIT Production Management Technologies (PMT) team. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for providing team leadership, technical consultation, development work, and application/infrastructure support for internally-developed, custom automation and web-based applications within an enterprise monitoring services team. This position plays a key role in high priority initiatives and solving complex problems. The position will have direct interaction with internal business partners throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure proper delivery of requested changes and provide on-call incident management and support when problems occur. We are seeking someone that embraces self-development and capable of maintaining legacy applications while working to upgrade the software stack to current technology through a side-by-side migration.

A self-starter with excellent critical thinking skills who has the ability to work with limited direction will be best suited for this role. Successful candidates should be comfortable and capable splitting time between administrative tasks and developmental tasks. Must be able to de-compile existing applications to learn our codebase and understand object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns. Must be comfortable mentoring junior level developers and performing code reviews for peers. Must be familiar with version control systems, ideally Team Foundation Server and Git. Must be comfortable creating and maintaining user, developer, and support documentation. Experience working in a change control environment with defined release cycles and release processes. Experience developing web service APIs and ETL jobs for integration between multiple applications. Experience with full stack development, primarily ASP.NET, JavaScript and SQL Server. Experience working with geographically dispersed team members, a plus. Strong communication and team-player skills, working in an interactive and agile environment.

Responsibilities include:

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of systems analysis experience, systems programming experience or combination of both
  • 5+ years of ASP.Net experience
  • 5+ years of relational database experience
  • 7 + years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles
  • 5 + years of experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS


Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of design methodology, Infrastructure operations support or engineering
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile, Kanban, or Lean methodology
  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Vue.js experience.
  • ASP.Net Core experience.
