TRSS is a small, dynamic, technology-heavy, security-focused environment where members of the IT team contribute in a variety of areas. All team members perform helpdesk support for onsite and remote employees, help maintain various network systems, and contribute to the implementation of new systems. After hours support and system maintenance is required at times.

This position will primarily support Windows-based systems and networking. Linux, virtualization and networking skills are a plus.

About the Role

As our IT Support Engineer at TRSSI, you will:

• Day-to-day desktop and phone support for onsite and remote users
• Troubleshoot networking issues such as VPN connection problems
• Manage trouble tickets, documenting requests and changes
• Track hardware and software license inventory and procurement
• Provision laptops, mobile phones, and user accounts
• Research solutions to problems and document solutions
• Work well both independently and with teammates
• Communicate well with users and teammates
• Assist in large projects such as office expansion, network maintenance, OS upgrades, etc
• Perform after-hours maintenance and support as needed

To be our IT Support Engineer, you will likely:

• Support Windows 10
• Support Office 2016 and 365 suites including Exchange-based e-mail and Teams chat
• Support Apple iOS devices and Intune MDM
• Manage user accounts and groups
• Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, Ethernet, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching)
• Familiarity with various facets of IT security, including endpoint and network firewalls, antimalware software, security baselines, application whitelisting, etc.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field or equivalent experience

It may be useful if you also have experience with:

• Amazon AWS management
• Linux, Apache and Tomcat management
• Microsoft Exchange administration
• PowerShell scripting
• Linux shell scripting
• Cisco switches and routing
