Our location in Santa Rosa, CA currently has an opportunity for a LIMS Administrator (Laboratory Information Management Systems). In this role, you will be responsible for the configuration, validation, maintenance, and support of the laboratory information management system, which is critical to the toxicology laboratory testing performed by Abbott.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Configure, update, and maintain the LIMS.
• Track, prioritize, and manage LIMS issues and enhancements.
• Provide technical support to LIMS end-users, diagnosing issues, and escalating to the LIMS vendor when necessary.
• Act as the liaison between the lab, the LIMS vendor, internal IT, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and the various agencies that have an integration with the LIMS.
• Train staff on the proper use of the LIMS and develop training materials and standard operating procedures.
• Work closely with lab operations to understand existing workflows, challenges, and opportunities for improvement and make recommendations to management.
• Ensure that all LIMS changes are adequately documented, implemented, and validated according to system lifecycle policies and procedures.
• Provide regular management reports to lab operations and management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

• 3+ years LIMS administration or technical support experience
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL
• Project management experience
• Business analysis experience
• Software quality assurance experience

Preferred

• Life sciences LIMS experience
• Crystal Report or SSRS report development experience
