Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for experienced Sales Specialist to join the IBM Cloud Integration Sales team to help drive revenue for app modernization, integration modernization and multi-cloud management solutions portfolio. This will enable clients to modernize their application and enterprise infrastructure environments. • Identify, pipeline, progress and close deals to achieve/exceed quarterly targets. • The Sales Specialist will work with the client and IBM team to develop a vision for their cloud strategy leveraging IBM’s 14 in 4 Journey to Cloud. • Use innovative ways to identify and progress opportunities to demonstrate client value –i.e. Design Thinking, meetups, whiteboarding, prototyping, hands-on demos. • Translate client business requirements into solution requirements, solution architecture and solution design. • Integrate the IBM Cloud Paks with the customers’ existing and future IBM and Red Hat software investments to provide competitive differentiation. • Demonstrate the ability to interpret industry, market and technology trends as a foundation for roadmaps for our offerings and technologies. • Communicate value, progress and status of sales opportunities to all stakeholders. • Experience in consultative selling, effective presentation skills and negotiation techniques are key to success in the role.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Experience in one or more of the following IBM roles –Cloud Technical Leader , GBS Cloud architect, GTS Cloud Architect , Client Technical Professional (CTP) for Hybrid Cloud Integration Middleware or IBM Cloud Private, Software Client Architect (SCA), or Hybrid Cloud Sales with a strong technical background. • Good understanding of IBM Middleware such as IBM Cloud Integration Platform (MQ, DataPower, API Connect, App Connect Enterprise) and Management and Platform (WAS, ICP, MCM, Hybrid Cloud Management and App Insights). Knowledge of DBA will be a bonus • Ability to quickly learn and articulate the value of Red Hat’s application development portfolio, including Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Middleware, Red Hat 3scale API Management, Red Hat Fuse, and Red Hat Process Automation Manager • Public cloud technologies including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Compute Engine (GCE)
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Understanding of the open source development model and emerging industry trends like artificial intelligence (AI), agile integration, internet of things (IoT), containers, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), etc. • Strong understanding of IBM Middleware • Red Hat certifications - Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) OpenShift or equivalent major Cloud vendor certification
