Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Program Manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion PSJH. While this role currently works 100% remote, post-Covid the expectation is that candidates hired will be able to to work each week part remote/part in office, so candidates must live within a reasonable commute of our local admin offices in Renton, Portland, Irvine, Anchorage, and Spokane .
We are seeking a Program Manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion PSJH who will support system-level coordination of regional and line of business efforts to promote caregiver diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives to align with Mission, values and our promise. This role also coordinates the development and implementation of strategic plans for caregiver diversity, equity and inclusion aligned with the PSJH strategic plan. The position will be responsible for partnering with HR and business leaders to ensure a high level of collaboration and coordination of the DEI metrics, talent acquisition, talent management, learning and education, DEI events, employer brand, outreach and communication strategies. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes an inclusive community where everyone belongs and supports our values of dignity, respect and justice, which reflects the PSJH mission and philosophy.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
- Supports the most complex projects and programs working with members from multiple organizations, cross-functional team(s) and key leadership within a matrix management organization utilizing strong program/project methods and tools.
- Business acumen within HR and across the functional organization to ensure business agility, innovative and creative solutions for achievement of outcomes
- Identifies project and program design, scope for work stream efforts and identify risk and mitigation strategies. Develops high level road map and transition plans to coordinate and scope schedules and projects
- Oversees the planning and execution of detailed plans, communication, and change management. Accountable for the achievement of project or program objectives consistent with HR strategy.
- Provides coordination, and strategic planning for the design and implementation of an organization-wide strategy to ensure diversity, equity and inclusion for all caregivers. This is done in partnership with other diversity, equity and inclusion stakeholders to ensure that all initiatives are aligned with the strategic plan
- Evaluates institutional-wide progress toward creating diverse, equitable and inclusive workplaces. This will involve regular assessment and evaluation of programs and strategy.
- Develops and presents an array of innovative ideas and program concepts for consideration, selection, and implementation
- Communicates internal quality standards for inclusive culture and engagement programs and ensure that all aspects of the programs are operating against those standards. Ensures successful delivery of caregiver programs/services and monitor effectiveness of inclusive culture, diversity, equity, and engagement initiatives
- Advocates for infusion of diversity, equity and inclusion concepts in the caregiver training and development curriculum including multiple perspectives, and teaching strategies that prepare leaders and staff for success in a diverse, inclusive, equitable and global workplace
- Responsible for working collaboratively and strategically with HR leaders and community partners to develop proactive pipeline strategies to address the future workforce needs of Providence Health & Services and Swedish Health Services.
- Implements and manages innovative, scalable, system-wide programs to target key educational institutions, professional organizations, military sources, community diversity groups, staffing vendors, and affinity groups incorporating outreach best practices, diversity goals, and business needs.
- Assists in development of budgets and business-related processes for programs.
- Assists in identification, contracting, and relationship management of external vendors used to support program objectives
- Collaborates with Talent Acquisition Sourcing & Brand and Regional Marketing and Communications departments to ensure alignment of branded materials for outreach with advertising strategy and tactics.
- Demonstrate service excellence and positive interpersonal relations in dealing with others, including employees, managers, medical staff, volunteers and community members, so that productivity and positive relations are maximized.
- Actively supports and incorporates the mission and core values into daily activities. Treats all others with respect and demonstrates excellence, justice and compassion in daily work and relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field or 4 years additional experience in lieu of education
- 2 years related experience.
- Experience successfully maintaining, managing, and continuously improving programs, processes, projects, or operational and administrative solutions in areas such as HR, recruiting, marketing, sales, technology, data, operations or administrative experience.
- Experience working across departments with team leaders, vendors, project teams and SMEs to achieve alignment, the goals of the work and operational excellence of the solution, program, process or project.
- Experience consulting, creating and implementing large project plans, communications, social media or creative documents, training, data analysis process or project documents, presentations, reports, technology requirements and other materials.
- Experience presenting to team leaders and small groups.
- Experience producing and/or managing data reports, cost analysis, invoicing and/or budgets.
