The position of Project Manager is within our Infectious Disease Developed Markets Business Unit. This role will perform project planning, execute plan, work through metrics, track and communicate project status through the entire project cycle. This job description will be reviewed periodically and is subject to change by management. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage new product development and product support projects • Facilitate the establishment of project metrics (scope, schedule, quality) to manage and continuously improve project performance • Support development teams through execution of project plans integrating cross-functional deliverables • Collaborate with functional managers to assign appropriate skillset to projects and monitors performance • Actively manage project risk activities • Manage and coordinate portions of project activities to deliver projects from concept to commercialization under the supervision of a Sr. program manager • Support design reviews and ensure proper completion of project deliverables • Drive resolution of team project issues, risks, and/or conflicts leading to clear decisions and action items. • Provide timely and effective project communications to key stakeholders • Lead and/or support business process improvement activities to continuously improve project deliverables • Follow best practices, processes, and standard methods for project planning BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION: • Bachelor’s Degree in science or engineering plus on the job experience in project • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project or program management role PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Master’s Degree in Science, Engineering or other technical field. • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Research & Development environment. • Experience in Point-of-Care diagnostic industry a plus. • Project Management Certification (PMP) COMPETENCIES: • Strong leadership, influencing and collaboration skills; build relationships cross functionally. • Excellent communicate and presentation skills. • Ability to follow project management philosophy, think logically across the project level. • Ability to manage project scope, schedule, and hold team accountable for results. • Strong self-motivation and ability to self-start. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Strong organizational skills with attention to details. • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
