Job Description
The Service Deployment Senior Specialist reports directly to the Service Experience Lead and is responsible for the project management of the deployment and release of new capabilities into the learning ecosystem; working closely with key stakeholders within the GL&D CoE, captive and supplier teams, at a regional and global level.
What you will do:
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following
- Designing, developing and maintaining the project plans needed for the successful deployment of learning from the GL&D CoE to HR Ops/ supplier resources; leveraging the transition methodology and contributing to its continuous improvement through the application of lessons learned.
- Identification and mitigation of risks to the project by the application of proven risk mitigation interventions and their active management
- Identification and tracking of issues as they arise and through the application of experience and judgement, their resolution/ appropriate escalation
- Applying knowledge of internal/external business challenges to provide input into recommendations for improvements to products, processes or services, continue to ensure the adoption of fundamental business drivers within the company.
- Working closely with the project management team to help establish goals, objectives and priorities.
- Creates project charter outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, dependencies, resources, budget, and timelines.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive and detailed project plans and related documentation to include: charts, timelines and other relevant supporting materials.
- Update all project tasks on a regular basis, benchmarking against key milestone deliverables.
- Maintain the schedule and inventory of resource requirements needed.
- Coordinate the work of third party teams/ suppliers regarding integration of their projects.
- Ensure along with the transition manager, that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and that all deliverables and requirements are met.
- Leverage knowledge management resources like Teamsites to help foster cross-team cooperation.
- Responsible for forging strong links with peers across the region to identify and share proven practice and contribute to meetings focused on knowledge sharing
- Delivery of risk management services as part of project delivery in compliance with company governance, processes and objectives.
- Development and implementation of project risk management plans.
- Undertaking day-to-day risk management activities including identification, prioritization, action planning and monitoring.
- Use knowledge and experience gained from working on other projects to ensure identification and management of all significant risks to help achieve project objectives.
- Develop contingency plans and remove obstacles that may negatively impact the project.
- Exercise judgement in escalating appropriately.
- Facilitates and ensures appropriate agenda of project related meetings.
- Detailed tracking of all issues that arise throughout the duration of the project, ensuring they are adequately monitored and communicated.
- Document all questions/discrepancies that arise throughout the project and ensure all are answered sufficiently.
- Provide feedback to project team members as necessary for continued high performance.
- Facilitate the resolution of conflicts and resolves or escalates issues that arise throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Facilitate project debriefs, identifies success and opportunities for improvements, and applies learnings to future projects
- Participate actively in any change/improvement discussions, contributing as per experience of any internal/external challenges in your field.
- Have a clear understanding of the fundamental business drivers of the company and use this knowledge in your work.
- Assist with change strategy development and also the implementation into the organization.
- Assess and analyze the change impact.
- Identify any anticipated resistance from the business.
What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
- Three to five years’ project management experience preferably gained in a similar, complex multinational environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project management techniques.
- Proven knowledge and understanding of the HR business model.
- Strong ability to acquire and process knowledge aligned to the learning portfolio.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Strong listening & comprehension skills.
- Strong orientation toward Innovation & Creativity.
- Strong interpersonal skills including relationship building & maintaining.
