Rockall - A Broadridge Business is seeking a Software Configuration Engineer to join our new team in Australia!

Within the technical services team, you will help to deliver customer solutions for the configuration and integration of COLLATE , its enterprise collateral management product.

How? By coding and testing COLLATE configuration and its supporting systems and applications. This involves work on a Java/SQL stack on an Oracle SQL database with SOAP and REST APIs, to provide customer tailored solutions for deployment in their environments.

Role Responsibilities

Design, develop and test new software product configuration features and commit to producing high quality, performant and robust software. Contribute to continual improvement of existing software development processes and deliver quality software fixes on time.

Take an interest in learning new technologies and undertaking new challenges. Solve development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms. Take part in team activities around coordination, planning and process improvement. Collaborate with customer technical staff in solutions design and delivery.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 1-3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Knowledge of relational databases & web applications
  • Familiarity with Java and other similar technologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work constructively in a shared team environment
  • Flexibility and ability to reach compromise where appropriate
  • Commitment to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
  • Good organisational skills – being able to plan and manage multiple assignments, set priorities, adapt to changes
  • Customer facing experience with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Enthusiasm for the role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Relevant 3rd level degree or professional qualification in Computer Science
  • High standard of English
  • Ability to travel occasionally to Ireland and the US
  • Based in Australia
  • Eligible to work in Australia
