About the Role
As a leader on the Growth Marketing Team, you’ll be responsible for enabling automation across our growth marketing channels (Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, Online video, Affiliate and email channels). You will be responsible for improving the effectiveness of our Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) across all performance marketing channels by reducing our marketing cost and reinvesting to improve our customer acquisition goals. You’ll be leading a team and working with cross functional partners on Product, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics and BI in order to build automated platforms to optimize and deploy our spend across our partners. You will also be responsible to develop/execute a roadmap to improve our attribution and measurement, facilitate incrementality testing and adapt to changes in the marketing landscape (e.g. CCPA, iOS 14, Firebase changes)
You will lead the overall strategy for Marketing Technology at Doordash and help deploy millions of dollars of spend. You will be at the helm of developing and deploying data-driven marketing product solutions and needed infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and scalability. You will be responsible to communicate with the Executive Team and senior stakeholders on the marketing technology vision, strategy and working with multiple stakeholders on getting buy-in on goals and investments.

You are a multifaceted, organized, self-starting marketing/technology leader. You have worked across multiple functions and have had prior experience working with with 1) data science/analytical teams for incrementality testing/spend optimization 2) product/engineering teams to build platforms and ingest/submit bids to our advertising partners 3) marketers to develop more sophisticated tooling and 4) advertising platforms (e.g. Google/Facebook) with a deep understanding of the technical aspects (platform attribution, pixels, app attribution, APIs)
- You will:
- Lead Marketing Technology roadmap at Doordash as a business owner and work across Marketing, Data Science, Analytics, Product, Engineering and BI teams
- Optimize and deploy multi-million dollar monthly digital budgets across all performance marketing channels including Paid Search, Paid Social, Affiliate, Display, App Install Campaigns and Referrals
- Partner with Product/Engineering/Data Science teams to build the roadmap for marketing platform evolution and expansion
- Maintain and monitor key metrics across channels including budget pacing, LTV, and CAC
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of the key drivers and opportunities within the business
- Inspire the team to continuously evolve into automating our marketing spend and manual tasks such as feeds
- Apply tools, methodologies and standard methodologies for the improvement of the platform development process, and to facilitate simple fast and outcome based releases
We’re excited about you because...
- You have:
- A BA/BS degree and 7-10 years of related performance marketing and/or consulting experience.
- 2+ years experience managing direct reports.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Passion for intersection of Marketing and Technology. You stay up to date on the industry, platforms and changes as they roll out.
- Ability to synthesize complex ideas into actionable recommendations for senior executives
- Experience in ad platform preferred. E-Commerce background preferred.
- Demonstrated success defining and delivering against product roadmaps and establishing strong partnership with product counterparts.
- Deep familiarity with CPA, CPC, CPM, and LTV.
- Deep understanding of paid marketing channels (Social, Display, Affiliate, Search, Mobile).
- Outstanding ability to think creatively, identify and resolve problems.
- Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere.
- Able to work across organizational boundaries and matrixed reporting structures.
- Ability to fully understand business goals and metrics, turn data into insight, and translate requirements into actionable analysis.
- Able to present and communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, supported by excellent written and oral communication.
- High degree of familiarity with Machine Learning concepts and Marketplace principles and demonstrated ability to apply these to improve business results.
- Experience with Web & App Tracking/Attribution.
- Experience working on multi-sided marketplace businesses.
