Associate SEO Content Strategist

The Zebra is expanding our Organic Marketing team, seeking an Associate SEO Content Strategist to help us create world-class content to support our SEO program. This role offers an opportunity to learn and grow within The Zebra’s marketing team, assisting with the creation, optimization and ongoing maintenance of on-site content. As an Associate SEO Content Strategist, you will be a critical contributor to our goal of creating the Internet’s best library of insurance answers and information. We strive to simplify the insurance comparison process for our readers, so we’re looking for someone who knows how to distill complex topics into digestible copy. Please note - all new hires must be able to relocate to Austin, Texas by the time of their start date.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Support the creation and optimization of data-driven SEO landing pages, using original data to craft informational, user-friendly content.
• Strategize unique medium- and long-form insurance content and landing pages to drive organic traffic and revenue.
• Help to develop and maintain SEO content templates, assisting the team with the generation and ongoing improvement of content at scale.
• Perform regular content audits to ensure compliance with SEO best practices and accuracy of insurance pricing data.
• Work closely with our team of SEO content marketers to analyze and organize original data for use on new and existing SEO content pages.
• Collaborate with SEO team members to edit, ideate, and optimize content for other marketing channels and link-building initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Keen attention to detail and command of written English.
• An understanding of SEO best practices, especially pertaining to content creation and optimization.
• Proven ability to write high-quality public-facing online content in a timely manner.
• The ability and willingness to contribute to a fast-paced, adaptive team.
• Experience using Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal or Wagtail.

EXPERIENCE THAT WILL IMPRESS THE HECK OUT OF US:

• Familiarity with SEO tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs or seoClarity.
• Prior experience in the insurance industry (or a willingness to learn the ins and outs of insurance).
• Experience performing in-depth research.
