Position: AP Accountant, Shared Service

Location: Shanghai

Report to: AP Leader

Job Summary:

Accounting Specialist AP is responsible in managing invoices are processed and paid on time and with high quality and according to Newell approval requirements. Responsible for intercompany cross charge bookings. Coordinate with GL team in checking OOB report and solving variances.

Job Description:

• PO matching. Validate and verify invoices, book entries in SAP. Ensure accurate coding. Coordinate with CS teams to ensure timely submission of intercompany invoices and supporting documents.
• Month end closing procedure: inter-company cross charge follow up and entry booking. Ensure all routine charge in correctly booked in system, Coordinate with GL team if accrual need to be arranged.
• Investigate and coordinate with relevant parties to clear outstanding items in GRIR report. Resolve PO issues to ensure proper posting in SAP.
• Monthly reconciliation of OOB report. Coordinate with relevant parties to resolve variances. Ensure intercompany balance variance is minimized.
• Upload intercompany payments to euro-netting system. Post euro netting entries and maintain netting account tie to global pool balance.
• Review and post T&E claims. Train and mentor junior staff if needed.

• Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
• 1-2 years accounting experience, preferable with inter-company accounting experience
• Good writing and verbal English skill
• Medium level Excel skill
• Attention to details, good time management skill, problem solving skills
• SAP knowledge preferred
