Job Description

We are looking for a Data Scientist Search, you will directly take part in the evolution of our search engine, which is based on Elasticsearch. This is one of the most important features of our website and as such, your work will impact the experience of millions of users!

What will you do:

• Develop algorithms to increase the search engine relevance and reduce effort to get results
• Work closely with the product manager and software engineers to improve the search experience for our users
• Collaborate with our R&D team to build the future of the search engine.

Qualifications

What we are looking for :

• MS in Computer Science and at least 3 years of work experience or PhD in any quantitative field;
• Experience in search engine and Elasticsearch;
• Background in information retrieval and/or machine learning; (text indexing, query formulation, personalized and contextual search, learning to rank...);
• Fluent in at least one language in Python, Scala, Java;
• Background in NLP or NLU is a plus;
• Experience with analyzing large data sets using Hadoop/Spark is a great plus;
• Must be self-directed, organized and team player;
• Fluent in English or French.
