We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Professional Services team under the Customer Solutions organization. As a Project Manager you will assure Customer success by driving customer satisfaction by orchestrating packaged engagement delivery to successful completion. As a Confluent Ambassador the Project Manager works with customers to staff and schedule purchased packaged services, coordinating logistics and project activities. Acting as the Professional Services contact for customers the Project Manager is a customer facing role. Besides customer facing activities, the Project Manager is involved in supporting Resource Management, staffing and capacity activities and resourcing skills tracking.
Typical activities may involved
- Act as the main point of contact for Confluent’s Workshop delivery. Communicate with customers outlining services and scope of work. Clarify needs/requirements.
- Project planning: scheduling and leading internal prep meetings and customer syncs. Confirm engagement dates, submit resource requests, and prepare project updates.
- Prepare or validate the SOW / work orders inclusive of scope and milestones, acceptance criteria for Workshops
- Track any scope changes/extensions and gain customer approval for those changes
- Manage Workshop backlog. Identify and understand issues that block the customer from scheduling. Partner with Sales and PS Management to remove those blockers. Monitor workshop expiration dates and escalate as to the Delivery Director as needed.
- Coordinate and manage documentation delivery to ensure billings run on time
- Track project issues and facilitate or escalate resolution as necessary. Measure customer satisfaction by conducting post project evaluation and identifying successes and areas of improvement
- help with invoice reconciliations
- monitor the project budgets to avoid over-deliveries
Required Skills
- The Project Manager will need to coordinate with and motivate others: Customers, Sales and Partners with the ability to think strategically
- Interfaces effectively with employees and customers as needed.
- Excellent customer facing skills and ability to communicate to customer stakeholders and within Confluent.
- Ability to demonstrate relationship building internally and externally
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage competing client demands
- Good service delivery, time, project and priority management skills
- Presentation Skills
- Experience in project financial fundamentals
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer-centric attitude, ability to deal with cultural diversity
- Proven team player and team builder
- Loves to work in a fast growing and dynamic environment and is able to keep pace with constant change.
- Ability (and willingness) to travel when required. Proficient English speaking and writing skills are a must
