(Senior) Technical Service Specialist

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Provide backup first line service to Abbott Ambassadors (Complex Service Interventions)
• Schedule and perform planned maintenance activities
• Assist with instrument installations, AbbottLink, and automation
• Spare parts and inventory management
• Service Sales and Service Cost Management
• Compliance to Abbott Quality and Regulatory Compliance and policies
• Provide timely updates to reporting systems such as CMS Next
• Perform basic technical coaching and training for Abbott Ambassadors
• Deliver basic customer operator introductory trainings post install or post hardware or software upgrade
• Perform IQOQ (Installation Qualification Operation Qualification) procedures during and after installation
• Schedule, perform and document hardware and software updates (TSBs)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering (Bioengineering/Electrical/ Mechanical) or Medical Technology preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ related experience in Field Service Engineering, experience in Diagnostics/Healthcare preferred
• Willing to be on standby after work hours/ work overtime to resolve emergency service issues
• Proven track record in a similar position and successful engagement with customers, specifically key stakeholders and lab staff
• Excellent product and industry knowledge, experience and process skills of the business functions service delivery
• Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues, technical expert for product line responsibility
• Excellent communication skills, experience in use of analytical tools and software
• Coaching and training skills
