Position: Senior E-Commerce Manager
Location: Shanghai
Report to: E-Commerce Director
Job Summary:
Under supervision of E-Commerce Director and in partnership with business division, develop annual marketing strategy, data-driven sales walk with A&P investment plan, and new product development launch plan to deliver sales and profit targets. Accountable for developing the brand innovation and activation strategies for brands/categories within domestic and cross-border marketplaces. Focus on building consumer demand and market share and delivering sales targets with insights grounded in performance data and deep consumer, product, and market understanding.
Job Duties:
- Sales Planning: Lead team in development of annual category sales plan inclusive of promotions, media and A&P activation plans, NPD launch, and distributor commitments. Connect inputs from team on distributor commitments, A&P and promotional investments, and NPD to provide holistic walk to leadership. Responsible for maintaining and driving to annual sales plan, tracking performance, and recommending plus up opportunities. Responsible for key holiday (6/18, D11, D12, 5/20) planning and execution.
- Performance Tracking & Price: Analyzes performance KPIs, consumer insights, and market data to inform sales walk, promotional/activation plan, and to recommend pricing objectives, strategies, and guardrails for key SKUs or categories. Applies pricing architecture and understanding of competitive landscape to manage price. Utilizes product, pack configurations, and brand architecture to optimize price ladder
- 3 Years Strategy: Responsible for developing go-to-market strategy for now and forward looking three years in partnership with the business Division. Builds strategies for sustainable consumer recruitment and conversion in partnership with Distributors, platforms, and Division partners. Acts as the connecting agent between these parties to build, secure approval, and execute these strategies.
- NPD Launch Strategy: Develop new product launch road map based on thorough consumer understanding and ensure regional/global alignment. Provide inputs on improving NPD, S&OP and related processes and increasing Division connectivity. Uphold global brand(s) standards and design language and ensures consistency with brand positioning. Acts as a brand champion across the business. Drives product packaging projects to be consistent with communications hierarchy and brand standards.
- Communication: Communicate with internal and external partners to achieve sales and marketing goals
- Bachelor's degree in marketing discipline, or equivalent, MBA preferred
- 6-10 years of equivalent online sales and marketing experience
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in leading a team
- Experience in multinational companies
- Good negotiation skills, Strategic thinker, well-versed in both written and spoken English, Mandarin is a must
- Experienced in online marketing and promotion activities on Tmall and JD in both Domestic and Cross-Border marketplaces
- Experience tracking performance and applying insights to optimize sales plan and investment strategy
- Good presentation and communication skills
