Role and Responsibilities

We are looking to hire a software engineering manager at Cisco in Stockholm. You will be a part of the engineering leadership team and lead one or more software engineering teams responsible for developing our network automation products NSO and ConfD. You will lead, motivate and coordinate the teams towards our product goals, develop and strengthen the team and the individuals and iterate and improve our processes and ways of working as part of the engineering leadership team. You will work with product stakeholders, support teams and other Cisco entities in the day-to-day business to coordinate priorities and set expectations.

You will be part of a leadership team that consists of 4-5 experienced managers that are responsible for approx. 40 engineers.

We believe you have a Master or Bachelor degree in computer science or the equivalent and 5 years experience in software development with 3 years of leading a team. You are knowledgeable in agile software development methodologies and your good communications skills and enthusiasm help you paint the bigger picture, solve problems and rally people towards a common goal.

Experience of working on mission critical products or systems is very beneficial as well as experience in distributed systems. Further desired skills are functional programming paradigms, real time systems, product ownership.

The applicant should be able to work and communicate in English; Swedish is beneficial.
