The Role
The Account Receivable Manager (Bangkok based) will be responsible to manage and mitigate the AR risks and collections in a few different markets across the APAC region.
This is a high touch customer facing role. To be successful in this role, you must be a self-motivated individual who have excellent planning and organisational skills. We are looking for an excellent communicator with strong influencing and negotiation skills.
Responsibility :
- Contact clients regarding overdue receivables, including determining client payment cycle, establishing payment plans, providing historical billing data and resolving disputes and address questions regarding receivables
- Work closely with our account managers and the sales team to resolve all open issues with customers which require resolution
- Notify clients of their overdue balances via phone and email - mainly clients abroad.
- Follow up with customers for collections and understand issues that are causing delay in collections.
- Negotiate payment arrangements
- Draft and send collection letters when necessary
- Prepare and maintain various reports including the Accounts Receivable aging report
- Implement reports and processes to provide deeper analysis.
- Send statements to outstanding customers
- Provide customer service regarding collection issues, process customer refunds, process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments
- Work closely with the sales department
- Optimize quality of portfolio through implementing effective credit control policies
- Set a credit rating for customers and for countries based on payments morality, economical situation and financial statements
- Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the finance department
Desired Skills and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major
- Fluent in English, written and spoken communication skills is a must
- Any additional languages will be an advantage due to the
- Solid analytical skills, ability to visualize, articulate, conceptualize and solve both complex and uncomplicated problems by making decisions that are sensible given the available information
- At least 5 years of relevant experience is a must, extensive knowledge in the field of accounts and finance will be a huge plus
- Highly proficient with numerical
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment
- Intuitive and proactive in problem solving
- Desire to forge a career in finance
- A good team player
- Ability to prioritize the collection tasks
