USIS Programs & Exchanges (P&E) is a high energy, fast growing team within Equifax’s USIS Data and Analytics organization charged with building and supporting best-in-industry data assets. This role will lead USIS Data Governance program initiatives as part of the Core Exchanges team, focused on the core data communities, and on partnering with the Exchange Leaders to support their data communities. This position reports to the Core Exchanges Leader. The USIS Data Governance Program Manager is responsible for the ACRO Data Governance Program, as well as other programs developed for the various data communities assigned to P&E. Functioning as an objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues, the position ensures that Equifax is in compliance with the rules and regulations of each data community, monitoring and reporting on the results of these programs as appropriate.

What You’ll Do
- Accountable for the ACRO Data Governance Program. Ensures that the program is fit for purpose and that all life cycles are managed appropriately to the RACI.
- Manages charters and approvals, where appropriate, and works with the Equifax Compliance Office and lifecycle owners to align programs and objectives to satisfy regulatory requirements.
- Ensures that compliance and governance best practices are present and functioning in all business unit data communities and assets.
- Using the ADGP as a template, identify opportunities to build similar programs on other data assets.
- Develops, implements, and maintains policies and procedures for the general operation of multiple exchange compliance programs and manages the day-to-day operation of their requirements.
- Works with the Senior Leadership team, as appropriate, to support objectives of Data Governance programs.
- Works with the lifecycle leads to ensure adherence to the program policies.
- Rollout Data Governance policy and standards and implementation across the business unit and engage with appropriate cross organizational resources as appropriate. Influences and provides guidance on approach and activities to ensure data governance program is effective.
- Integrates program into daily processes and functions of ACRO exchange.
- Collaborates with Legal and Compliance teams to identify appropriate roles and responsibilities.
- Act as an objective review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance Issues within the exchanges are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.
- Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk. Develops and implements corrective action plans for resolution of these issues, and provides guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
Qualifications
- Ten or more years of relevant experience in a leading data company or financial institution, with a proven track record of excellence and business-minded leadership.
- 5 or more years of experience in responding to regulatory supervisory letters.
- Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in developing and administering programs adjacent to the FCRA or other lending regulations.
- Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership. Ideally, experience, or a demonstrable aptitude, to work across a sophisticated matrix organization using strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Creativity and drive, as well as the ability to identify efficiencies and opportunities. The ability to collaborate with multiple teams and to get these teams to collaborate with each other. Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit.
- The ability to align departments and individuals with competing agendas to do great work within tight timelines, and without sacrificing the essential objectives of our projects.
- The ability to manage multiple high-impact projects at the same time.
- Bachelor/Master degree in finance or related field. Advanced degree in data management, analytics etc. is preferred. PMP or similar certification is a plus.
- The willingness to travel as needed, likely no more than 10% of the time.
