Associate Principal, Investor Relations Role
The Associate Principal. Investor Relations (IR) will serve as a primary contact for the investment community and will be responsible for executing the company’s ongoing IR activities. This role will report to the Head of Investor Relations and work closely with senior leadership across the finance team, communications team, and executive team. This position will play an integral role in building and executing an effective investor narrative and communications strategy, performing financial analysis, and maintaining strong relationships with institutional investors and sell-side analysts.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Head of IR to build and execute an effective investor communications strategy that underscores long term growth opportunity and our business strategy to deliver on the company’s long-term vision.
- Develop long term relationships with industry analysts and investors to communicate company strategy position the business for long term growth.
- Manage all aspects of quarterly earnings—including preparation of quarterly financial press releases, conference call scripts, Q&A documents, investor presentations and other associated materials; assist in drafting annual and quarterly SEC filings.
- Partner with Corporate Communications, Policy, Product Marketing and other internal stakeholders to ensure that all company external and internal communications are integrated and consistent - reflecting aligned business strategy narrative.
- Assist investors and analysts in modeling the company’s historical financial statements.
- Review and summarize analyst reports, periodic ownership analysis, relative stock price movements and aggregate information from various financial data sources.
- Monitor industry developments and competitive market trends, develop executive summaries for senior leadership on peer company news, and performance.
- Provide senior management with feedback and recommendations related to discussions with the investment community, as well as commentary regarding events within the market and industry.
- Manage the Company’s participation in investor and analyst events such as conferences, meetings, non-deal roadshows.
- Manage the planning and execution of investor days or other events with investors.
Qualifications

The successful candidate must display, through attitude and accomplishments, strong initiative for anticipating and meeting the business demands. S/he must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics.
Specific Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in investor relations, finance, FP&A, as a sell side analyst or other Wall Street position.
- Demonstrated understanding of Reg FD and other SEC disclosure rules and regulations.
- Understanding of GAAP accounting practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis, including an understanding of financial modeling used by investors to project company performance and associated valuation methodologies.
- Excellent writing skills for crafting scripts, financial presentations, investor kits, etc.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software; familiarity with IR focused software/tools preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics.
