The Abbott Molecular division in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Division Headquarter FP&A finance team. The position supports the Abbott Molecular organization and is integral to supporting the success of the organization through detailed financial analysis, business partner support, strategic projects, and ad hoc reporting and analysis. The position is ideal for someone seeking exposure to different areas of finance, with opportunity to grow and add value.

WHT YOU WILL DO:

The Senior Financial Analyst will support Global AMD functions and provide strategic finance and analytical support to the overall organization.

This position is responsible for budget and control, financial planning, forecasting and analysis, partnering very closely with senior management for the assigned functional areas.

The role is integral to preparing, consolidating and gaining management approval for well supported quarterly LBE’s, monthly analysis of results, and accurate forecasting and analysis to support the business. In addition, this role will partner with the business to drive transparency and accuracy in forecasting, timely preparation of corporate submissions and analysis, and will be the lead to assist with consolidation, reporting and metrics tracking for the Balance Sheet and Cashflow.

The Sr. Financial Analyst in this position will have the unique opportunity to assist with financial modeling, analysis for the long-range organic execution model, coordinate quarterly forecasts, and other strategic projects to support success of Global AMD.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING:

Required:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of finance/accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Accounting or Business / Economics.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Prior experience with financial systems (SAP, HFM, TM1, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details.
  • Positive attitude and a self-starter with the ability to work independently across various levels of management.
  • Strong communication skills.
