Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience with business development or partnerships.
• Ability to speak and write English and Mandarin fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

• MBA degree, Master's or other advanced degree.
• Experience operating within and leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience with partner relationship management.
• Ability to define go-to-market strategies and identify opportunities for Google and OEMs business to grow with OEMs, app developers and carriers.
• Excellent negotiator with a partner-first approach. Ability to represent Google in agreement discussions and structure terms to achieve ongoing partner alignment.
• Capable of understanding technical information and product architectures to able to communicate the benefits of Google products to non-technical business counterparts.

About the job

The Wear OS Partnerships team is responsible for developing the ecosystem of partners using Wear OS as their smartwatch operating system. Our most common partners are OEMs, but we also work with telecom operators, chipset manufacturers and ODMs, among others. Because our goal is to create a sustainable, healthy ecosystem, our team focuses on long term, strategic partnerships, that are truly beneficial to both parties over time. That said, our industry also evolves very fast, which means we also have to be agile and creative, while still keeping in mind the longer term bigger picture. One thing that is common to all of us working on Wear OS Partnerships: we are passionate about the wearable space, and its potential to improve people's health, safety and productivity throughout the day.

As a member of the Wear OS Partnerships team, you will drive Wear OS platform growth in China through innovative partnerships and you will be a key business and relationship manager for OEM, app developer and telecom carrier partners.

Responsibilities

• Grow the Wear OS China Edition ecosystem through partnerships.
• Drive and execute business with Wear OS partners, including OEMs, app developers and carriers.
• Manage relationships with partners and ensure long-term success of the partnership.
• Develop and support go-to-market strategies for Wear OS China Edition and coordinate cross-functional activities to maximize business success in China.
