Job Description

Eaton’s Power Systems Division is currently seeking an Operations Excellence Program Manager to join our facility on Badger Dr. in Waukesha, WI.

Position Overview:

You will partner with a cross-functional team to lead project management and project engineering execution related to re-organizing Fabrication/Weld area to creating flow and strategic implementation of a five year plan for the area . Activities include using ProLaunch, coordinating MOC documentation, Contractor and Vendor management, managing capital and expenses related to the projects, and following ELSS/CIF practices. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to partner with Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineers, EHS staff, and Operations team members (Operators, Team Leads, Supervisors, Value Stream Managers, and Operations Managers. As a project leader, it is expected that the candidate both manages projects and contributes to the initiatives they are assigned.

In this function, you will:

  • Lead and execute project activities for Fabrication/Welding Areas.
    ensuring Eaton MOC (management of change) procedures are followed.
  • Adherence to capital and expense budgets associated with projects.
  • Manage by influencing others as this is an individual contributor role.
  • partner with Operation and Engineering teams to execute on time the projects, in a collaborative environment.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate ELSS activities such as design for flow and 2P events.
  • Responsible for leading projects using ProLaunch and MS-Project.
  • Gain exposure to PDRD Eaton leaders through reviews and project status updates.
  • Perform other duties as required to achieve departmental and division objectives. This may include flexing to other projects outside the Fab/Weld areas.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 1 year of project management experience
  • No relocation benefit will be provided. All candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of Waukesha, WI to be considered.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Position Criteria:
  • Ability to travel up to 5% (local travel to other sites, suppliers, and vendors)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing and prioritizing a portfolio of projects
  • Experience with ProLaunch
  • Experience with SAP (generating PO’s and doing GR’s)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically proficient at intermediate levels of Excel and Project
  • Phase/Gate and Project Management experience
  • Leadership facing presentation and facilitation skills
  • Comfortable with organizing large amounts of data
  • Comfortable with presenting to senior leadership
