We are seeking a strategic and solutions focused leader to join our Nutrition division as a Commercial Excellence Manager.

Based in Macquarie Park, and reporting to the General Manager, Nutrition, this new role will partner with our Sales Leaders with the aim of enhancing the effectiveness and profitability of our Sales Force functions through continuous improvement in commercial capabilities.

Drawing on your experience in commercial roles across Sales, Marketing, Training and Field Force Effectiveness, you will be the thought leader responsible for setting a clear path to direct, develop, measure and reward our customer facing team members. A strategic thinker, able to distil the complex to clear plans of action, you are a skilled communicator that builds strong professional relationships across stakeholders, enabling high levels of engagement and buy in.

Your job duties would include (but not be limited to):

  • Define the Abbott ANI ANZ Commercial Excellence Principles, develop guiding principles for each of the Sales Force Effectiveness enablers, and associated learning support.
  • Drive field force effectiveness and efficiency via key levers such as KPIs, review process standardisation, incentive processes, analytics, field force data and dashboards, ethical/field force automation, field force size, deployment and customer targeting. Build capability through the development of a competency framework and operationalise for sustained performance.
  • Coach and support the sales managers to increase effectiveness of field force. Engage sales managers to gain insights and develop a Sales Force Excellence mindset whilst maintaining a strong performance culture throughout ANZ ANI.
  • Design and deploy integrated analytics and dashboards to draw cause and effect relationship cut across Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE), CRM, Marketing, Training, Market Insights, Customer Relationship Management and Trade.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • Extensive experience in a sales leadership focusing on field force effectiveness in a global organisation.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Proven establishment & execution of a sophisticated, value-adding sales operations function in a small-medium business
  • A proven track record of being a results-driven leader, with a knack for complex & creative problem solving
  • Experience in coaching and developing successful teams
  • The ability to collaborate cross-functionally to align on strategic direction.
  • A background in FMCG, healthcare or a life science discipline will be advantageous!
