Job Summary This role is responsible for the development and delivery of risk-based Farmers audit strategy and plan for Farmers Group Insurance (FGI), Attorney-in-Fact, and the Exchanges function. Provides independent and objective consultation to Audit Committees, Boards and Management, to ensure risks across Farmers lines of business are effectively identified and controlled. Essential Job Functions

• Contributes to and executes on the development of the strategy, vision, and direction of Internal Audit.
• Develops a comprehensive annual audit strategy and plans and oversees audit delivery which is supported by a data analytics discipline.
• Plans and tracks performance through a quarterly rolling risk-based audit plan.
• Coordinates with assurance providers, Group Audit, and external audit in the development of a top-down and bottom-up risk assessment, to assess FGI and the Exchanges control environments.
• Fosters a continuous focus on innovation, application of advanced data analytics, tools and techniques and emerging technologies within internal audit and the company.
• Develops audit schedule and partners with the Head of Internal Audit to build and implement integrated audit plans.
• Allocates audit resources and oversees project progress to ensure delivery of the audit plans.
• Directs and administers audit related activities in accordance with the standards for the professional practice of Internal Auditing.
• Directs and approves the risk analysis, audit scope, objectives, schedule, and budget hours for audit engagements.
• Is responsible for ensuring audit objectives are met.
• Develops and supports the establishment of audit performance objectives and measurements.
• Directs and delivers on special projects requested by audit committees and executive management, strategic initiatives, investigations, and other confidential assignments as needed.
• Builds and maintains on-going relationships with Farmers leadership to ensure Internal Audit services address organizational needs.
• Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives of Farmers Internal Audit.
• Partners with key stakeholders to ensure Audit strategies and services are aligned and support Farmers strategy across all lines of business.
• Actively participates in Integrated Assurance Committee meeting to ensure risks facing the companies are effectively managed.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Information Systems Auditor required.

Experience Requirements

• 12 years proven auditing leadership experience in the financial services industry required.
• P&C insurance or external audit experience preferred.
• Auditing leadership experience in financial, business operations, or information technology preferred.
