Position Overview :

The role of this job is to assist the Senior Manager, Sales Operations with the development and oversight of policies and procedures within the Sales/Customer Planning teams and retail customers. Specific areas of focus include business management systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness, pricing policy management, product portfolio optimization, returns policy, excess/obsolete management, ITN oversite, and other relevant policies, terms, and logistics. Additionally, this role will help coordinate pan-Newell customer communications, the national sales meeting, industry events (e.g. International Housewares Show) and other unique customer events. This role requires strong collaboration across Sales, Customer Planning, Finance, and other Food Business Unit functions.

Specific Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Contributes to the development, launch, and governance of key systems and processes to drive efficiencies for the sales teams
• Contributes to the creation, oversight, and communication of pricing policy and manage adherence across customers (e.g. bracket pricing, MAP pricing)
• Provide Invoice to Net (ITN) guidance/checkbook management for sales team and regularly monitor, in partnership with Senior Manager, Sales Operations and finance
• Assist with efficiency initiatives such as product portfolio optimization, returns policy, or excess/obsolete inventory reduction
• Assist with coordination of special events/requirements (e.g. anniversary commemoration, retailer fundraiser event), national sales meeting, and industry events (e.g. International housewares show)
• Development and maintenance of retailer calendars including promotions for each brand and key meeting dates (e.g. line reviews, joint business planning)

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Qualifications:
• • Bachelor's degree (emphasis in business/marketing or related field), MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • 3-7 years of experience working with a leading CPG company (Trade Marketing, Sales, Finance, or related position)
  • Possesses creative problem solving skills to overcome barriers and close opportunities.
  • Ability to think creatively, generate options, build consensus, and execute.
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity and a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Aptitude for both strategic thinking and detail-oriented operational management.
  • Collaborating with partners and other organizations to achieve results
  • Knowledge of Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and Marketing a plus
  • Proficient in Windows Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. SAP a plus
