In this role, you have the opportunity to:

This Leadership opportunity will manage the customer sales team in the Markets in order to maximize sales, volumes and revenues for assigned portfolio, across regions.

You are responsible for:

Operations

  • Develop clear and achievable strategies, objectives and tactical plans based on segmentation, customer needs / customer centricity and market conditions synchronized with the BMC objectives
  • Ensure sales efforts align with and support organizational strategy, SPoR (both long and short-term), and BMC plans
  • Accountable to negotiate contracts and prices within the limits of the sales plan and sales policy
  • Gains and maintains market information and knowledge in order to obtain and maintain the targeted market shares across assigned product portfolio
  • Ensure un-compromised implementation of the standard business processes, quality standards and standards of business conduct according to policies
  • Presents solutions to problems to key stakeholders within the customers organization and identify areas of sales opportunities and growth within the account

Creating solutions to meet customer requirements

  • Develops and owns strategies for channel and accounts that will achieve business growth targets
  • Works with Retail Sales Director to develop overall channel sales plan, accurately forecasting possible deals for the year and ensures order volume and revenue targets are me
  • Accountable for achieving budgeted sales volumes, prices and profit margin at a specified number of customers
  • Manages continuity of the relationship with the accounts and operates at the highest level in the accounts’ organizations, but also facilitates the executive level interfaces between the company and the accounts if necessary
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of local marketing strategies
  • Initiates and negotiates tailor made actions, discusses with customers or store managers about sales actions
  • Liaison with Philips internal stakeholders to determine which products and programs will be offered to the Channel
  • Provides feedback/guidance to Product Management such as; market/competitive pricing, new products in the marketplace and competitive activity
  • Monitors and manages customer product mix and profitability
  • Establishes a regular rapport with all stakeholders at prospective and existing customers
  • Effectively leverages cross-divisional Philips team by leading the team to meet the customer needs
  • Responsible for delivering balanced trade, forecast accuracy, AOP including revenue and gross margins

People Management

  • Ensure that right team is in place to deliver on the sales objectives
  • Leads, coaches, directs and motivates the team, encourage diversity
  • Manages pipeline of talents for the organization, and build capabilities in the organization Optimizes organization for speed & costs Builds capabilities

To succeed in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • University degree and 8+ years of relevant experience with solid track record in sales and management of sales teams
  • 5+ years of People Management
  • CPG experience
  • Hands on knowledge working with major retailers such as Loblaws, Sobeys, Metro, Shopper’s Drugmart, Rexall
  • Working in multi-channel (direct/indirect) environment, ecommerce
  • Customer Experience with Loblaw, Shoppers, Sobey, Metro
  • Experience in matrix organizations, and cross-functional experience
  • Solution/consultative sales
