The Haven of Our Lady of Peace is a 120-bed nursing home operated by Sacred Heart Health System and Methodist Homes for the Aging. The Haven's history goes back to 1939 when a brave group of Carmelite Sisters began caring for Pensacola seniors at a home overlooking Perdido Bay. Job Summary:

Assists with basic patient care activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assists with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Assists patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.

Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

Required Credential(s):

• Certified Nurse Aide credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing - Certified Nursing Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) must be obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Work Experience:

• 1 year of related experience preferred
