Reporting to the Senior Manager, Environmental Health and Safety, as the Occupational Health Nurse, you will be responsible for managing all plant related medical issues.

Responsibilities:

• Manage employee health care, legislated medical surveillance programs, customer required vision testing, respirator fit testing and training and the Hearing Conservation Program
• Manage Workplace Safety and Insurance Board claims and a Modified Work Program
• Provide Wellness initiatives including quarterly health related workshops and clinics
• Maintain statistical data and produce related internal reports
• Participate on the Joint Health and Safety Committee
• Assess health related training needs and implement relevant training programs
• Maintain the Emergency Response System which currently includes an internal 'Code Red' plan and strategically placed emergency response stations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing/Occupational Health Nursing and 3 years of relevant experience, in the absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required.
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Must have current First Aid and CPR certification
• 3-5 years experience in an industrial occupational health setting
• Strong workplace knowledge of chemicals relevant to our industry and related control programs
• Strong PC skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
• Demonstrated ability and experience developing and presenting training programs
• Candidates must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
