THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL DO: The main financial, planning and analysis systems and processes to be built span across four areas: 1. Partnering with Commercial FP&A, Product Development Finance, Sales Operations/S&OP, Strategy, and Manufacturing to ensure consistency across the organization 2. Corporate FP&A Operations: Partnering with Accounts Receivables/Treasury, Accounting, Retail, and Product Development to ensure the budgeting process in Adaptive Insights is smooth, efficient, accurate, and that necessary and helpful transactional data is available for financial analysis 3. Investigate, research, model and present findings recommending the best course of action regarding new business opportunities, market entry/exit decisions, profitability/margin, etc. Major Responsibilities: Ø Work as part of a team in designing, developing and implementing technical solutions for Corporate FP&A team support of Rivian Automotive operating and product development divisions Ø Partner with finance and non-finance business partners to engineer or redesign existing processes Ø Understand the capabilities of key financial and operational systems at Rivian Automotive Ø Maintain and administer Adaptive Insights systems and related operational reporting for entire Finance team Ø Manage all technical requirements based on understanding of business needs and desired end state Ø Design, develop, deploy and support new Adaptative Insights projects Ø Document system processes and partner with Rivian enterprise IT to transition maintenance of Adaptive Insights systems to production environments Ø Manage development and maintenance of system integrators Ø Evaluate opportunity to migrate existing Excel-based reporting to enterprise reporting applications Ø Maintain and develop as necessary Visual Basic and VBA applications to streamline tool efficiency and automate tasks Ø Manage any Finance specific databases, tools and reports that link data from disparate systems Ø Coordinate and drive user acceptance testing make recommendations around solution adoption and change management and prepare the business for system readiness. Ø Ad hoc technology enhancements as needed THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Ø 3-5 years of proven experience in understanding of financial and accounting concepts, including budgeting, forecasting, and close Ø 3-5 years of IT business/systems analysis and development experience Ø 5 years minimum development experience on core database with extensive knowledge of financial data warehouses including advanced calc scripts, load rules, Maxl, JAVA, ASO database architecture and MDX Ø Extensive knowledge and experience in Adaptive Insights Ø Proven expertise in managing IT development and administration Ø Proven ability to build partnerships with both business and corporate IT staff Ø Strong communicator with ability to partner at the most senior levels of the finance organization and build relationships with internal stakeholders Ø Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, advanced business acumen mindset Ø Proven record of delivering sustainable tools with adequate documentation Ø Deep knowledge of Visual Basic and VBA is a plus Ø Proven ability to create end-user automation tools in a Windows environment. Ø Proven expertise in desktop automation tools including Access, Excel, and reporting tools Ø Demonstrated ability to grasp complex business concepts and to apply novel technical solutions Ø Ability to learn new systems and technology quickly Ø Results-driven, customer service orientation THIS IS WHERE YOU'LL WORK: Department: Finance Location: Irvine, CA RIVIAN DESCRIPTION: Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever.
