Hours: Full Time; Monday - Friday; 6:45am to 3:45pm

Location: The Polyclinic Madison Center

JOB SUMMARY

The PSR lead will work directly with the Practice Manager and/or Supervisor to ensure the overall smooth operation of all front desk activities. The lead PSR will focus on disseminating information to coworkers and ensuring that communication among all front office staff is complete and consistent. The PSR Lead will ensure compliance with departmental procedures, be a role model for staff while maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic. The PSR lead will be a strong or leading performer as outlined in the Polyclinic performance tool and will perform all duties as outlined in the PSR 2 job description.

Responsibilities (in addition to completing all duties of PSR 2)

  • Assists supervisors and managers in the dissemination of new information related to PSR activities.
  • Participates in precepting and mentoring new employees.
  • Acts as the key front office contact person for physicians within a department or clinic.
  • Assists managers and supervisors in tracking that all coworkers have received and reviewed new materials presented to staff.
  • Provides direction and assists with ensuring that staff attends assigned meetings and that coverage has been communicated among the front office staff.
  • Provides service recovery as needed, communicates resolution to supervisor or manager in accordance to The Polyclinic customer service mission.
  • Works with Department Manager and Supervisor to promote efficiency within PSR activities.
  • Initiates resolution of immediate problems that may come up within the department. Alerts the Manger or Supervisor of issue and how it was resolved.
  • Provides Practice Manager/Supervisor with feedback for coworker evaluations.
  • Participates in the interview process of new PSRS.
  • Attends all appropriate meetings as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as necessary to help support office operations.
Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ongoing education preferred

Experience:

  • One year of experience as a PSR in a medical environment required. Experience at The Polyclinic preferred.
