Hours: Full Time; Monday - Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm
Location: The Polyclinic Nordstrom Tower
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Coordinator’s primary role is to act as a liaison on behalf of the patient and physician. Provide the patients with information, support and accommodation through their procedural experience. The Patient Care Coordinator’s communication, conduct and performance should support the Polyclinic’s efforts in becoming a High Performance Organization.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Meet with patients prior to surgery to:
- Provide preoperative information to surgery patients
- Consult with patient regarding all financial aspects of the procedure and fees to include physician, anesthesia, and facility fees.
- Determine insurance coverage, requirements and benefits, when applicable.
- Set up payment arrangements
- Schedule surgery at The Polyclinic ASC or hospital and communicate all pertinent non medical information to the patient
- Arrange and manage all payments and charges billed for surgery.
- Post and record payments following Clinic Policies and Procedures
- Coordinate communications with the patient’s Primary Care office
- Support the front office with answering phones and other duties

- Maintain a team supportive attendance record.

- Follow OSHA/WISHA (including usage of PPE) guidelines
- Follow HIPAA regulations
- Adapt and perform effectively in a continuously changing environment, and in occasional difficult situations.
- Communication, conduct and dress portray professional quality at all times.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
Experience:
- One year of experience as a receptionist in a medical/surgical environment, preferred.
