City Operations Manager

If you are looking for a versatile role with lots of responsibilities in Operations, this job is for you! You will be end-responsible for our food delivery operation in one city. This means leading a team, connecting with the partner restaurants, checking the city KPIs and taking strategic decisions to grow and improve the business in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities

As the City Operations Manager of Birmingham, you are responsible for the entire food delivery service of Just Eat Takeaway.com in your city. To manage a smooth operation and grow the success, these are your responsibilities:

• Managing overall the operations in your city
• Making sure daily tasks run smoothly by managing the shift-responsible team members
• Planning ahead in order to grow and improve the food delivery operations in your city
• Ensuring the city complies with company policies, procedures, rules and regulations and all applicable laws
• Overseeing the development and measurement of the city KPIs and drawing conclusions for strategic decisions
• Collaborating closely with HR, Business Planner, Continuous Improvement Specialists and Support teams
• Close working relationships with Sales, Disposition and Customer Service to ensure high Service Quality for Partner Restaurants
• Managing and building relationships with our partner restaurants and helping in resolving their questions in regards to deliveries

Required skills and experience

• Completed vocational training with working experience and/or university degree
• 3-5 years of work experience in Operations (preferably locally)
• Previous experience in team management
• An outgoing, motivating and strong communicator whether face to face, through phone or email
• (Near-) native level of English
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
• Analytical mindset and ability to translate numbers into actions in our food delivery
• High level of service orientation
• Willingness to keep an eye on your phone and jump in when needed, in evenings and weekends
