Are you a strategic thinker with solid research skills and a passion to customer seek problems?

Hotels.com, an Expedia Group company, is looking for extraordinary talent to join its Customer Insight Team and support the business in truly understanding the needs and behaviors of our customers.

You will champion and embed Customer Centric thinking and behavior across the organisation, educating the business on the travel category and the needs of our consumers, helping to drive day to day decision making and longer term business strategy.

You will use your hands-on knowledge of insight and research techniques to actively explore, assemble and analyze data from a range of sources, making impactful recommendations which keep the customer at the heart of everything we do.

What you will do :

  • Lead and own key ad-hoc research projects from end to end, working with internal and external partners to deliver impactful insights to the business, ensuring they are fully embedded and drive action
  • You will work with diverse teams, drive their understanding of Customer Target & Value Proposition, share existing insights, run additional analysis partnering with them to apply it to their specific challenges
  • Drive partnership on research across Expedia Group acting as the voice of Hotels.com, working with colleagues in other brands to share existing research and find opportunities for cross brand projects
  • Build and lead vendor relationships with marketing research agencies
  • Bring external thinking into the business – ensuring we are making use of the latest insight methodologies
  • Drive Hotels.com research & insight expertise through internal training, process implementation and promotion of tools and resources

Who you are :

  • Minimum 5+ years professional experience in insight either at an agency, client-side or a combination, leading and executing research projects with particular expertise in quantitative analysis.
  • Ability to deliver projects to a high standard with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to translate large data sets from multiple sources into simple and compelling insights, building a story focusing only on the ‘must know’ for senior leadership
  • Knowledgeable on a wide range of research and insight methodologies and use cases, from traditional qualitative and quantitative through to social listening, behavioral economics and AI enabled research
  • Project management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to adapt your style to the situation
  • Bias to action with a clear focus on delivery and outcomes not just process
  • Positive mentality and work in a flexible and collaborative way
  • Passionate about understanding the consumer and driving business growth
  • High energy and can-do attitude
  • Curiosity and passion for making an impact
  • Understanding of digital marketing strategy and platforms
