Job Description
Duties : Assume overall responsibility for the performance and coverage of System Support Team. Strategize and schedule work hours and On Call Rotation for 24/7 Coverage. Plan, direct and monitor the tickets assigned to the team. Meet business and operational targets like SLAs and OKRs. Establish relationship with end users and other leaders/functional managers to make sure technology support goals are met. Leverage past system administrator support experience to drive for automation and work with manager to design/implement IT initiatives, projects and strategies. Provide ticket based, Tech square, remote and walk-up Helpdesk support for Two Sigma’s fast paced multi-site user based and environment. Act as a direct point of contact for all end users to receive support and maintenance for systems in a Windows and Linux environment. Help with new hire orientation with user onboarding and terminations, computer life cycle management, regular software upgrades etc. Use knowledge base to effectively diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network and account related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve problems pertaining to MS Windows operating system, workstation connectivity, MS Office, and malware. Work on common IP networking technologies, Linux repository management, system patching and CLI administration. Deploy, install, and maintain PCs and software, including tending to all adds, moves, and changes. Use confluence wiki to create knowledge base and documentation on all the common issues and troubleshooting techniques. Document all required information in call tracking system appropriately. Automate day today tasks by programming and scripting in PowerShell and python or similar language. Work on applications like Active Directory, LDAP, and Google drive. Install Mobile Device Management (MDM) on end-user’s mobile devices and act as a fist point of contact for all MDM troubleshooting with blackberry UEM, Work, Slack and Connectivity. Perform regular scheduled visits to the site and performing necessary upgrades and troubleshooting issues. Provide support to all core live traders on the trading floor with managing and troubleshooting applications like Bloomberg terminals. Administer Microsoft Exchange enterprise environment. Work on administrative tasks such as mailbox access, mailbox SMTP, mailbox delegation, group membership, group delivery management and group delegation. Configure resource mailbox for conference rooms, manage booking policies and mailbox delegations using Exchange Shell. Use PowerShell to manage user objects, computer objects and Security & Distribution groups. Author PowerShell scripts for internal codebases to aid automations related to account terminations & account transfers. Work with PowerShell and Python scripts for command line administration. Assist internal users in main office and remote sites with authentication, DNS, printer, operating system, Two Sigma web services, and software issues. Integrate WMI with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) using SMS Provider methods. Package applications using SCCM and distribute content over Distributions points to different User and device collections. Conduct identity access, shared permissions of user objects in Windows domain infrastructure. Computer objects, organizational units and oversee file synchronization & replication with services like Workfolders, Folder Redirection. Use System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) to monitor trader workstations, development servers and address heartbeat failures, disk space, and network profile issues. Use SCVMM to oversee bare metal servers and virtual machines in Windows domain.
Minimum education required : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum experience required : 2 years of experience in systems engineering, or related experience.
Skills required :
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of Active Directory (AD), Domain Controller and Organization Units (OUs) and Group Policy Management (GPOs).
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of PowerShell to manage Active Directory objects, Exchange mailboxes and common Windows Operating System operations.
- Must have experience with engineering, debugging, and improving IT system infrastructure, installation and configuration scripts written in PowerShell.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of concepts of TCP/IP, encryption, print management, Kerberos, LDAP, operating system fundamentals, VLAN, Virtualization, file synchronization.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of protocols such as DNS, DHCP, SSH, VPN, HTTP/S, SSH, SFTP and SCP.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of Windows operating system, software, web application troubleshooting and network security concepts.
