Our team helps build Facebook’s world class data centers & empowers them with analytical solutions. We do this in partnership with our core data science team to allow our facilities and sites to become autonomous and better serve over 3.21 billion people globally. Our team owns data engineering, business intelligence, advanced analytics and analytics solution engineering for the entire Infrastructure Data Center organization. We build software solutions using latest technologies and leverage data science in empowering our users. Are you interested in joining us? Facebook is seeking interns to join our Analytical Software Development team. This role requires you to work closely with Data Scientists and Data Engineering to find innovative, end-to-end engineering solutions to complex business problems involving Data Science. You will help build solutions that can impact efficient operations of data centers across the globe. The role is based in the Bay Area in Fremont, CA for a Summer, 2021 Internship. Analytical Software Developer, Intern Responsibilities

• Help design and build analytical software solutions using the latest big data technologies, programming languages, frameworks and open-source libraries.
• Analyze the shortcomings of existing systems.
• Partner with data scientists to deploy analytics, machine learning and optimization models in production environments and integrate them with the IDC operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Masters degree in: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or other related engineering field.
• Experience in coding & scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, PHP, C++ or Java & API integration
• Experience working with a relational database
• Experience with object-oriented software development
• Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
• Experience with React (React.JS or React Native)
• Experience with big data, statistics and Machine Learning
