Job Description BAE Systems, Inc. is hiring an experienced Procurement Compliance Specialist Sr Principle within Combat Mission Systems located at any of the sites or remotely. In this role, you will work closely with the procurement staff and management to ensure departmental compliance to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), Public Law and BAE Systems Policies and Procedures by:
Reviewing Purchase Order and Subcontract file documentation as well as ERP system order accuracy.
Maintaining metrics of reviews and providing regular reporting to management including recommendations for corrective actions.
Providing recommendations to staff on procurement documentation adequacy.
Providing recommendations for improvements in documentation, training, and approval authorities.
Performing reviews and metrics for compliance to specific complex requirements such as: Prevention of Counterfeit Electronic Parts, Cybersecurity, Specialty Metals, Buy American Act etc...
Assisting the Government Compliance function by supporting various External and Internal audits.
Maintaining accurate records of audit requests and responses, file logistics, and staff compliance statistics.
Support other functional audits as it relates to procurement procedures, data, and practices.
Support DCMA and DCAA audits by providing prompt records access, representing procurement in entrance/exit conferences, process walkthroughs, and meetings.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Bachelor's degree and 8 years work experience in Federal procurement or relevant combination of experience and education. A portion of this experience should be in a compliance/audit role. Government Buying experience a plus.

- Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Public Law and Procurement Policies and Procedures, Forms.

- Ensure Compliance requirements are met both internally and externally including, but not limited to, Government regulations, Public Law and Company Policies & Procedures.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - 4+ years of experience working in Department of Defense (DoD) or DoD contractor procurement administration environment or in a regulatory compliance role.
- Government Buying/Subcontracts experience a plus.
- Defense industry experience (i.e., FAR and DFAR) is strongly Preferred in addition to Public Law.
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in a supply chain, business, finance, or related field.
- Ability to work closely with management and Procurement personnel, as well as cross-functionally with other departments.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills, detail orientated and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge and experience with Excel, Word, Adobe PDF, and Outlook
- U.S. Military Procurement Experience.
