In this role, you have the opportunity to
Oversee all Order to Cash (O2C) operations for Supply Chain Management and provide strategic and tactical leadership, counsel, and direction to the Global Business Services (GBS) leadership team, based in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition, you will operationalize and enhance current reporting work streams, and be responsible for driving a lean culture throughout the organization.

You are responsible for (but not limited to)

  • Understanding Philips’ Order to Cash (O2C) processes within Global Business Services (GBS) and how GBS relates to other functions within the hub (Finance, Service Contracts, Logistics, etc.)
  • Leading the Supply Chain Leadership team in the development of their organization individual performance, development, and relationship building.
  • Prioritizing and implementing Continuous Improvement LEAN initiatives and other methodologies throughout the hub and Lean focused Daily Management reporting activities
  • Launching finance controls and guidelines in order to meet customer’s expectations
  • Establishing relationships with new product introduction teams, ensuring all products and new processes are implemented according to plan; as well as, supported from a customer and internal control perspective.
  • Understanding, reviewing and closing all SOX and ICS related requirements for Order to Cash (O2C), Quote to Cash (Q2C), and ensuring overall compliance.
  • Ensuring customer quotations, orders and service agreements are accurate and expertly processed.
  • Providing judgment based decision-making in assessing orders, revenue recognition and managing demo inventory to appropriate levels.
  • Integrating acquisitions with appropriate controls and customer-facing mindset. Support and drive for attainment of acquisition financial targets.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

The Supply Chain Operations team at our Philips Global Business Services (GBS) North America hub in Nashville, TN reporting into the GBS Hub Leader. This team is focused on delivering top results through driving the business to outperform expectations from our customers, market and internal teams; as well as, driving operational excellence through striving to build a standardized and sustainable O2C/Q2C value chain, raising the level of our performance beyond competitors.

Philips GBS Nashville hub has experienced significant growth in the Greater Nashville area since the original announcement of adding 800+ jobs in 2017. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a related field such as Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain
  • 10+ years of experience in an Operations based customer facing role in Supply Chain, Order Management, Sales Enablement and End to End solutions
  • 7+ years of people management experience; experience leading a highly functional management team in the development of their organization; but, also in individual performance, motivation of team members, development, and relationship building
  • Lean Certification is highly preferred, but not required
  • Experience working in a complex process environment that is not fully mature; with a consistent track record of identifying, prioritizing and implementing improvements
  • Strong background in Lean business transformation experience in a corporate office environment, shared services experience is highly preferred
  • Excellent and concise oral and written communication skills, including active listening; is comfortable with crucial conversations
  • Strong influencer; empowered and capable of leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience driving process improvement to streamline processes and reduce handoffs.
  • Eager to take the lead in project development and implementation as requested by leadership
  • In-depth knowledge of sales processes and organizations, IT systems, sales and business market trends to implement innovative strategies
  • Improving customer issue resolution time, increase internal operational capacity, and providing greater field representative coverage for urgent needs
  • Strong influencer; empowered and capable of leading cross-functional teams
  • Excellent and concise oral and written communication skills, including active listening
  • Ability to think critically, demonstrate “outside the box” thinking, and meet time sensitive deadlines for customers and resolution of escalated issues
