Manages and support the delivery of the Wealth and Investment Management Technology (WIMT) roadmap of projects and initiatives. Acts as the single point of contact for the business and the appropriate technical groups from solution planning to sizing/estimating to fulfillment. Influences prioritization of non-discretionary and discretionary efforts by gathering and reviewing business cases, working with technology teams to determine effort required, and recommend best option to the customer. Manages the sizing estimation process and reviews for reasonableness. Ensures service quality and cost-effectiveness of solutions. Monitors Wells Fargo Technology (WFT) policy and changes and makes appropriate recommendations for WIMT’s adoption.

Leads implementation of complex internal initiatives impacting one or more technology areas and line of business. Provides direction, leadership and resources to ensure successful implementation planning, solution preparation, delivery, and measurement of complex and strategic internal initiatives. Participates in the establishment strategic implementation plans with project managers and executive sponsors that coordinate change activities, creatively solve problems and monitor sustained change to internal team members.

Partners closely with Finance Leaders on resource capacity planning and establishment and measurement of utilization targets.

Maintains regular contact with senior management within Technology and the supported business unit. Understands and ensures compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and works with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives. Interacts regularly with executive management demonstrating influence and negotiation. May also be responsible to miscellaneous business administrative initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 7 + years of experience in one or a combination of the following: strategic planning, initiative management or project management
  • 7+ years of technology experience
  • 5+ years of experience with strategic planning in a technology environment
  • 3+ years of experience with leadership in an enterprise technology environment


Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to consult at the highest technical level on design: planning, integration, implementation, scalability, and problem definition
  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
  • Ability to manage large or multiple technology development efforts within a major line of business
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as VersionOne and Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • 7+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • Experience managing large or multiple technology development efforts within a major line of business
  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Technical background with in depth knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with expertise in implementing both vendor and custom solutions.
  • Business Requirements Gathering, Business Process Modeling, Data Governance / MDM, Program level Release Management, Change and Risk Management and Partner Alliances.

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
