About the Role We connect business needs with employee needs! We are looking for a talented People Operations Coordinator to join our London office and support our small but mighty International People Services team, who drive the HR strategy for our business units in London, Berlin, Sydney, Tokyo and Moscow. Reporting directly to the Senior People Partner Manager who is also based in London, you will work closely with the local People Services Partners, acting as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and external partners. You will also play an essential role in the coordination and execution of new and developing People programs. You must be confident to engage successfully with employees at all levels of the organisation and build trust with local and remote team members. What You’ll Do
- Provide first level support for international employee HR queries, managing the shared HR inbox and escalating to People Services Partners as needed
- Preparing and administering personnel documents, i.e employment contracts, salary letters, probation documentation, etc.
- Maintain local records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, etc.) to ensure all employment requirements are met and filed accurately, becoming an expert user of our HRIS, Workday
- Assisting the local People Services Partners in the maintenance of payroll and benefits
- Assisting the implementation of key People projects focused on talent development and performance management
- Coordinating regular international HR and L&D initiatives such as performance reviews, employee and manager training opportunities, new joiner check-ins
- Maintain confidentiality concerning personnel actions, legal actions and other organizational information
- Coordinating new employee onboarding and leaver offboarding for the London office, including visa sponsorship applications where necessary
- Ad-hoc People Services projects as assigned
At a Minimum, We’d Like You To Have
- Proven hands on experience as an HR Coordinator, HR Administrative Assistant or relevant role
- Experience with HR software, preferably Workday
- Computer literacy (Google applications, in particular)
- Knowledge of UK labour legislation; interest in learning about labour law in other jurisdictions
- Excellent self-organization skills and attention to detail, with an ability to prioritize important projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, project and process management
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic fast-paced environment
- Teamwork, collaboration, and relationship building skills given the global nature of our team
- Fluency in English is essential, but multiple languages is a plus; our employees speak English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and Russian, to name a few!
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
- Degree or certification such as CIPD in Human Resources Management or related field.
- Some experience with training/facilitation
- Experience working in start-up / high tech / entrepreneurial environment
- A love for Houzz and all things home design related
