Are you a beginner Data Scientist with a dream of both building models and browsing r/catsstandingup at work? You're in the right place! Reddit is in search of a Data Science intern on our Threat Detection Team to join our Intern Program (and we guarantee you'll get to do some of both!).

Our Threat Detection team works to ensure that our users are free from abuse, and that the content they see is free from manipulation. At Reddit, we believe in the good, but we prepare for the bad... this would be your job! Our job is tough, but the impact is huge.

At Reddit, you'll get to:

Work on projects that impact the business. You'll gain exposure to how a real data team works, from sprint planning to shipping code.

Be mentored by experienced Data Scientists, Operations Specialists, and Engineers from all backgrounds. From Facebook, Google, Hackbright Academy, Microsoft, and MIT, you'll work with people of many different experiences and levels.

Contribute to the betterment of Reddit, whether that be through making it easier to create content on Reddit, serving up relevant content to users, fighting evil on the site, improving our mobile apps, or a number of other projects we have in the works.

If you fit the following criteria, we'd love to hear from you!:

• Graduating between December 2021 - Summer 2022
• A desire to work at Reddit HQ in San Francisco over Summer 2021 (Subject to change pending safety guidelines due to pandemic)
• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Computer Science or a related field
• Authorization to work in the United States
• You’re over the age of 18
